    Autofill is supported both on iOS and the Mac, as long as you use Safari.

    On iOS: http://www.screencast.com/t/xjU8VqyhSub

    On the Mac: http://www.screencast.com/t/lGAGlKBlQL

    To grab the Mac extension, go to https://pwsafe.info/browserextensions

    No functionality has ever been removed. Dropbox sync has been an add-on since 2011, when the app has first launched.

    Most likely your entry is protected. Please tap the key lock icon to the bottom of the screen (not to be confused with the combination lock).

    pwSafe Cloud is not iCloud, it's a couple of optional services provided independently of Apple's iCloud and which do not perform syncing:

    https://app77.com/pwSafe/CloudMemory.html
    https://app77.com/pwSafe/CloudBackups.html

    Although we think they add great value to pwSafe, you don't *need* them to have a fully-functional password manager.

    Also, please note that we are not able to inspect your passwords if you decide to use our services (read the links above for more details on that).

    Regards.

    That wouldn't prevent brute-force, because one can always try and brute-force directly the file.

    Hi Steve,

    thanks so much for bringing this up, we shouldn't have let these go unnoticed. We already fixed the "bellow" (fix on the next update), but I couldn't find the "succesful". Did you mean the type highlighted on the image linked here:

    https://www.evernote.com/shard/s32/sh/092f15ce-fc25-46d1-b93a-b5942b622ab6/d25b1e9c94d7642b4919d6c8d01ec08c

    If so, that's a Mobius Engine issue, which I'm already forwarding them.

    I love the trashcan idea, thanks!. Meanwhile, you can always use UNDO and, on the Mac, file version browsing (File — Revert To menu options)

    On iOS, you have to perform at least two actions to delete an entry, the second being hitting the red delete button which only appear after swiping or hitting the red minus button in edit mode.

    On the Mac, if you delete an entry accidentally, you can undo the operation by pressing CMD+Z. Doesn't that solve the issue?

    The correct tab will be remembered when you restart the app on the next version. The safes themselves can be remembered by following these instructions:

    1) Issue the following command on the terminal
    defaults write com.app77.pwsafemac NSQuitAlwaysKeepsWindows -int 1

    2) Open all the safes you want

    3) When quitting the app, instead of closing its windows or pressing CMD+W, simply press CMD+Q or choose pwSafe→Quit pwSafe menus.

    Don't you have the crash log itself? I would need the memory load address for pwSafe.app so that I can symbolicate the logs.

    how did you get this file? Can you send me more information about the problem? Perhaps by looking at the console.app logs?

    @Andy you can do that with a little bit of tweaking:

    1) Issue the following command on the terminal
    defaults write com.app77.pwsafemac NSQuitAlwaysKeepsWindows -int 1

    2) Open all the safes you want

    3) When quitting the app, instead of closing its windows or pressing CMD+W, simply press CMD+Q or choose pwSafe->Quit pwSafe menus.

    Until we implement that natively, there's a workaround so that you don't need to re-type everything:

    To import your data to pwSafe you'll need to perform the following procedure on a PC:

    1) Export your data to CSV format.
    2) Conform your data to the expected format (see bellow). You can use a spreadsheet editor like Excel or Numbers for that.
    3) Import your data into Password Safe free app - http://passwordsafe.sourceforge.net
    4) Safe your data in Password Safe.
    5) Copy your new .psafe3 file to pwSafe using either:
    5.1) iTunes - http://app77.com/pwSafe/faq.html#q1 -
    5.2) eMail - http://app77.com/pwSafe/faq.html#q2
    5.3) Dropbox - http://app77.com/pwSafe/faq.html#q4

    The CSV format must adhere to this rules:

    Imported text is assumed to have:

    * A Title Row as the first record in the text file.
    * A delimiter to reinstate the 'newline' character in a multi-line Notes field and the period ('.'), if present, in the Title field. The default is '»' [Alt+0187], which may be overridden if needed.>
    The Title Row for full data export currently contains the following fields by default, separated by a tab.

    * Group/Title
    * Username
    * Password
    * URL
    * AutoType
    * Created Time
    * Password Modified Time
    * Last Access Time
    * Password Expiry Date
    * Password Expiry Interval
    * Record Modified Time
    * Password Policy
    * History
    * Run Command
    * DCA
    * e-mail
    * Protected Status
    * Symbol list for password generation
    * Notes

    Best regards,

    It should work, this must be a bug. Please open the settings menu and try to disable and re-enable the master password.

    This must be caused by some configuration, because the app already remembers windows positions. Please try unchecking "Close windows when quitting an application" on the general tab of the system preferences and not closing the safe window before quitting the app.

    The Mac app uses Lucida Grande, which is the default font for Mac OS X apps. I'll study the effects of changing t to Helvetica (Neue).

    An error occurred while saving the comment
    Jorge Vasquez commented  ·

    The only field not in Helvetica is the password field. The reason for that is that Helvetica makes it hard to distinguish capital i from l and zero from capital O. We chose this special font which is specially crafted so that every character is distinguishable from others.

    It appears I was mistaken: the number of iterations could be defined and is currently set to 2048 rounds of SHA-256.

    We'll investigate increasing this number and even making it configurable.

    Regards,

    Thanks for your comments, John.

    pwSafe's file format is the same one used by Password Safe, i.e. http://keybox.rubyforge.org/password-safe-db-format.html

    We can't control the number of iterations to derive a key, because the file format does not allow for configuration of this parameter, which is fixed at a low 300. We will be working with Password Safe's developers to fix that and change to a more robust key derivation algorithm. Until them, we advice you to use very long passphrases.

    We get random numbers from /dev/urandom, which, on iOS, is that: https://developer.apple.com/library/mac/#documentation/Darwin/Reference/ManPages/man4/urandom.4.html It's up to the iOS Security Server to feed it with entropy.
