  2. There is a single button to reveal both the password and the contents of the notes field.  While the notes are sometimes confidential, the password is always confidential.  I think there should be a way to reveal the notes field without also revealing the password.

  3. I'd like to set a rotation policy, and have pwsafe remind me when the rotation period is reached. For example, if the rotation policy is 2 years, pwsafe might display a "needs rotation" icon in the list. This could also be used when there is a large-scale compromise (e.g. heartbleed), so that you can be reminded on your next login to change your password.

  4. Please make it possible to use Unicode keyboards so we can use all built in languages of iOS (e.g. Japanese). In the Windows program we can do that but in your iOS version it's not possible to select these keyboards.

Hi. The reason we haven’t done that yet is because the standard text control (UITextField) on iOS does not allow such characters when in ‘secure’ mode, which means masked mode. We are still investigating work-arounds.

  5. I use my phone upside down frequently and with the recent changes I have to set my phone flat to get my password copied. Change this to needing to shake the phone and give an option to disable.

There’s an option to disable it on the settings. Look for Smart Pasteboard.

We’ll look into changing it so that it detects you current orientation when you start, requiring you to flip it screen-up when you start the process screen-down.

    Regards

  7. Add encrypted store of image of document from user wallet like social security card, health care card, permits, licenses, etc. user could login and show document. App would over ride power save so that iPhone would stay on until a photocopy of display could be made.

The iCloud startup process happens in background, it does not block any non-iCloud functionality. While iCloud is starting up, you can open and use your Dropbox safe. You can even sync it to the Dropbox servers.

  9. I'm setting up and reviewing a lot of entries - making sure I've got URLs or contact numbers in the Notes field as appropriate.
It would be very helpful to be able to navigate to the next entries by pressing next/next/next without having to go out of each entry and then into the next one, which is rather tedious.

  10. When I open my safe I like the window to be tall so I can oversee all contents. However, when I close the safe (or the entire app) and then reopen it, I have to move and reshape the window again. Please make it remember how I want to position the windows!

The correct tab will be remembered when you restart the app on the next version. The safes themselves can be remembered by following these instructions:

    1) Issue the following command on the terminal
defaults write com.app77.pwsafemac NSQuitAlwaysKeepsWindows -int 1

    2) Open all the safes you want

    3) When quitting the app, instead of closing its windows or pressing CMD+W, simply press CMD+Q or choose pwSafe→Quit pwSafe menus.

  13. Using the current font for the list of stuff on left is cool, but the actual content should be in a better, cleaner font. Please consider changing it to something like Helvetica.

  14. The window should not lock X minutes after the the last unlock, but X minutes after the last use. That is, if I interact with pwsafe every 30 seconds for 10 minutes, it shouldn't lock... But if I ignore the window then it should lock.

This is a small difference, but it would make the program more usable.

  15. One of my main uses of pwsafe is in storing generated passwords of up to 20 characters for various online banking sites. Such sites do not require the full password but three characters. The 'display a subset of Password' on the Win version provides a great service and if this could be replicated on the ios version then it would allow me to identify the required subset on my iphone to enter either on Safari or on another device.

Please let me know the feasibility!

    Hi Philip,

I’ll take a look at this feature and, if possible, add it to one of the new versions.

    Thanks for you suggestion.

  17. Last night I put all my data in pwSafe on the Mac in the iCloud. I hit the delete button by accident and my complete Safe was gone!!! Two hours of work are gone!!! There was no question for a master password. Just press Delete and all your data is gone. Please fix this major bug. Anyone who starts pwSafe on my computer can delete all my passwords. So please fix this major bug and put a master password on the Mac version even as on the Iphone version

  18. On Mac app, it would be great if there were an option for it to automatically open the last used database file. Version 2 did bring on the option to either start with the welcome screen or the file browsers but with the original Pwsafe app I used on my Windows machines at work, it will remember the last used file and just launch it (and I only have the 1 file anyway). I'd love to see this feature on the Mac app. Thanks.

    That procedure might help:

    1) Issue the following command on the terminal
defaults write com.app77.pwsafemac NSQuitAlwaysKeepsWindows -int 1

    2) Open all the safes you want

    3) When quitting the app, instead of closing its windows or pressing CMD+W, simply press CMD+Q or choose pwSafe→Quit pwSafe menus.

  19. In Lion, and soon Mountain Lion, you can make apps full screen so they become their own screen. I would love to see this just to help with the clutter.

  20. I cant get a safe to sync with dropbox and icloud, i have to choose or update 2 safes seperatly each time i want to add or change anything.
Beeing able to sync with 1 safe with both services give me double insuranse that my safe wont be deleted and enable me to share my safe with eg. my whife.
