clear the search field when file is locked!
When the file is locked, the search field should always be emptied. We do not want to reveal the title/username/url whatever because that content is supposed to be encrypted!

Allow setting a default username and email address for a group
Often the username is the same for many sites, especially when keyed off email address. It would be great to be able to set a the default that's used to populate new entries per "group".

Hiding actual character amount in PW
I have a 4 character pin. The tool shows as 4 dots. Could the tool conceal the total number? For example, my 4 character pin shows up as 14 dots. Could standard as that, show 14 dots for any PW length.

Create a unique data type for text/notes that has no username/password, like Secure Notes in Keychain only they would actually work ;-)
Create a unique data type for text/notes that has no username/password, like Secure Notes in Keychain only they would actually work ;-) They could automatically be put into a Notes group so we could easily ID them as secure notes and would not have to fit the file format spec. Could even be in a unique safe that isn't actually a "safe" but just kinda looks like one if that helps you get around the file format spec issue.

drag and drop to group
In 2.4.2 when dragging and dropping a record from one group to another, as the mouse moves over the group, it expands, however it doesn't collapse again when the mouse moves on. This means dragging and dropping just expands all groups whether you wand to use them or not.
Suggest that the group is only expanded if the mouse hovers over the group name. If the item is dropped on the group, then just add it to the group.

implement a password audit feature.
An extension of the existing suggestion to surface password expiry dates. I'd like to audit my password file for things like:
* password not compliant with policy (global or entry-specific)
* password shared between multiple accounts
* password not changed in a given period of time10 votes -

Missing trash and/or delete confirmation
It's too easy now to accidentally deleting password entries (without knowing it).
Please add a trash and a confirmation dialog.
20 votesI love the trashcan idea, thanks!. Meanwhile, you can always use UNDO and, on the Mac, file version browsing (File — Revert To menu options)
- Don't see your idea?
