I agree. Ability to jump to the containing group list of entries would also be a useful feature.

I see what you are after, but maybe there is a simpler way to solve your original issue if pwSafe implements it. See proposal below.

Regarding groups vs subgroup, they are the same and are just text field of an entry. The hierarchy comes about in the visual layout.

    Proposal:

As pwSafe works now, when you search and find your entry such as your Twitter-2, long press on it and a popup with an option for Duplicate appears. Tapping on Duplicate brings up a screen that allows you to navigate to the group, starting from the top level where you want the duplicated entry created in. This doesn't solve your problem since you'd still need to know the hierarchy to group you want. However, if the option was there for something like 'Duplicate in place' where the entry is duplicated in the same group as the entry being duplicated then you could use that to get what you want by just editing the duplicated entry, which you can find with another search. I think this option for duplicating an entry would be better on a mobile device than trying to show a possibly long list for the full 'path' to an entry hidden deep inside nested groups.

Note: If you are using an iPhone 6s+ with 3D Touch turned on, use the device in landscape orientation so that pwSafe is in two column layout to be able to long press a search result. I found an issue I'll report to the developer where the menu with the option for Duplicate doesn't appear when force touching or long pressing the result of a search with device in portrait orientation that has 3D Touch on.

In the latest version I get the group or subgroup of the entry I search for.

Maybe you want to see the full nested path to the entry?

Once you know what subgroup the entry is in, if you switch the group layout in app settings to 'Flat', it should be easy to see the full nested path at glance.

There is an Android app compatible with the Password Safe format called PasswdSafe. Try Google it. There is a way to run the Android app on a chromebook.

Try this to delete that safe.

Turn on master password in pwSafe settings. Since you'll be doing this just temporarily, you can make the password something easy.

Once master password is turned on, swipe on the safe you want to delete. Only the master password will be required to delete it.

Once the safe is deleted, turn off the master password feature.
